Reporting to site supervision, the role of Operations Field Coordinator will be expected to start once a suitable candidate is found, working 12 hours per shift, on a rotating days/nights schedule. This position will perform work in operations at our client’s facility located at Joffre, AB.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain good relations with Customer and fellow employees while also ensuring a safe and organized area
- Ensuring excellent service to the customer while production is being maintained
- Responsible for the general supervision of employees in the operations area
- Coverage for operation personnel as required
- Comply with Quinn and Customer safety policies and procedures
- Attend/run weekly safety meetings
- Liaison with Training and Safety department
- Provide leadership in incident investigations
- Conduct mandatory worksite inspections
- Ensure people new to the unit receive unit specific indoctrination
- Be involved with hiring and job interviews (job postings (site), complete evaluations)
- Provide expertise/guidance to Operations
- Customer focal point for work carried out in their area
- Time (ticket) sheet management to ensure accuracy
- Ensure contract compliance
- Participate and reinforce Responsible Care standards
- DSR responsibilities
- Attend all meetings as required (safety, PC, manpower, etc.)
- Participating in our safety programs
- Able to provide directions on all aspects of work related fields
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to be trained and qualified within the Operations progression system
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Provide excellent punctuality and attendance
- Possess basic computer skills along with Customer computer requirements (attainable)
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Conduct regular work site inspections to monitor workmanship and safety compliance
- Maintain relations with customer and co-workers through effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Provide leadership in the area of Safety (Behavior Based Safety)
- Be a trainer, mentor and coach to other employees
- Participate in and manage area qualifications
- Provide reports required by Quinn Management (i.e. Month end reports, timesheet reporting, vacation requests, incidents, etc.)
- Will ensure daily production and quality control is adhered too
- Working knowledge of SAP computer software will be needed
- Previous experience working with Joffre Site Safety Procedures will be considered an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to safety (own and others)
- Identify, report and act upon any unsafe condition or action
- Good housekeeping skills
