AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm is currently seeking Rig Welder – B Pressure to join our Fall Turnaround team at CNRL Horizon. This is a temporary role.

+ Travel: Charter flights are provided from Calgary and Edmonton, and shuttle services from Fort McMurray or Surrounding areas

+ Accommodation: Camp accommodations are provided

+ Shift and Work Hours: Varies

+ Duration: 21 days straight

+ Overtime Eligibility: This position is overtime eligible

Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment. Welders develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints and work orders, clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch and weld parts together.

Responsibilities :
+ Weld up to 30 inches (FDI) per day when material is available, some welds may be customized while others may be repetitive procedures to complete the work.

+ Use welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, or SAW to weld pressure piping.

+ Follows various company policies and procedures such as:
+ ISO 9001-2008

+ AECOM’s Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)

+ Client Specific WPS

+ AECOM’s Safety Program

Conditions of Employment for this position are:
1.For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.

2.Qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company’s Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM – O&G Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

+ Journeyman Certificate of Completion in the Welding trade.

+ B Pressure Certification from Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA).

+ MUST HAVE the following welding tickets (At least one of the ASME ticket needs to be within 6 months of testing date)

+ F3/F4 SMAW – All Position – MTBW – 1” OD

+ 661T SMAW– Flat/Horizontal

+ CWB SMAW – S Class – All Position

or

+ F3/F4 SMAW – All Position – MTBW – 1” OD

+ W1063 FCAW– Flat/Horizontal

+ CWB SMAW – S Class – All Position

+ Construction Safety Training Systems – 09 (CSTS-09)

+ Confined Space ticket

+ Fall Protection ticket
